I'm so happy Spring is here. I've enjoyed watching the buds on the trees burst out with tiny little leaves. Our forsythia bush was full of pretty yellow blooms. And the pink dogwood trees around our neighborhood have been gorgeous this year. It's been one of the prettiest seasons I can remember.
Last week I told you I got an ice cream maker for my birthday. Well, we tried it out with some yummy strawberry ice cream. I used the recipe that came with the machine, but it was a little sweet. I'll try it again soon with less sugar and see how it turns out.

My husband loves to use the ice cream maker and I love strawberry ice cream. Going to have to try that this summer. Those Pork Carnitas look like they are worth a try, and I love anything that is in the crockpot.
