After a very busy December, this month has pretty much been routine. I find comfort in the familiar, so it's been nice for me. Meal planning is one of the routine things I enjoy doing. I don't enjoy scrambling around at the last minute, wondering what to fix for dinner. It gives me a sense of security, knowing that I have the ingredients on hand to make the meals I've planned.
That said, sometimes my meals don't go as planned - we decide to invite people over and switch up the menu or we get held up doing something else and I can't fix what was scheduled for that day. Flexibility is part of the plan, though! If you're not a meal planner, try it and see how less complicated your life can be!
